Truly, Allah is most gracious and merciful to us, but most of us are not thankful. Try the alhamdulillah game – come up with a list of everything we should say alhamdulillah for. Try it with your brother and sister and mother and father and son and daughter.

To start,-

1. Alhamdulillah for the fact that Allah gave us the ability to thank and praise Him, yet we could never thank Him enough for what He gave us.

Thats right my brothers and sisters, recite a third of the Qur’an in just one minute every night!

How?

Al-Bukhari (رحمالله) recorded from Abu Sa`id (رضي الله عنه), that the Messenger of Allah (صلي الله عليه وسلم) said to his Companions, “Is one of you not able to recite a third of the Qur’an in a single night?” This was something that was difficult for them and they said, “Which of us is able to do that, O Messenger of Allah?” So he (صلي الله عليه وسلم) replied, “‘Say: Allah is the One, As-Samad’ is a third of the Qur’an.” [Bukhari and Muslim]

Humankind is witness to the blessings that Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) has bestowed upon them, yet they look the other way. Humankind is witness to the world and everything in it, yet they deny the very Creator of it. Subhanallah.

Narrated Abu Hurairah (رضي الله عنه): The Prophet (صلي الله عليه وسلم) said, “Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) said: ‘The son of Adam tells a lie against Me, though he hasn’t the right to do so. He abuses Me, though he hasn’t the right to do so. As for his telling a lie against Me, it is his saying that I will not recreate him as I created him for the first time. In fact, to repeat or to recreate a thing is easier for the one who has created it for the first time. (So, it is easier for Me to repeat or recreate a creation which I created first). As for his abusing Me, it is his saying that Allah has begotten a son, while I am The One, As-Samad (the Self-Sufficient Master Whom all creatures need, neither I ear nor I drink.) I beget not, nor was I begotten, and there is none like or co-equal or comparable unto Me.’” (Sahih Bukhari)

I walked by as I noticed a bunch of people moved by music, indulged in gossip, purchased tickets from each other … until I spotted my younger sister, Ayesha. I signed, looking at them, as I commented to her, “…bunch of losers.”

“What makes you think they are all losers?” questioned Ayesha.

“Well, look at all the things they are indulged in? They’re obviously losers,” I responded, as we both noticed other people carrying on with their activities disapprovingly.

Asalamu ‘alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,

Allahu akber! Allahu akber! Allahu akber! Laa Ilaaha Illallah!

Alhamdolilah, Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) blessed us to see yet again another Eid.

We here at Ilm Fruits just wanted to send out the warmest Eid greetings to you and your families, whichever day you celebrated on! May Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) accept our good deeds and continue to shower us all with His Mercy, ameen!

On the Authority of the Mother of the Faithful, Umm Abdullah Aa’isha (رضي الله عنها) who said:

“The Messenger of Allah (صلي الله عليه وسلم) said, ‘Whoever innovates something in this matter of ours that is not from it will have it rejected.’” (Bukhari and Muslim)

Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) says in the Holy Qur’an:

“This day, those disbelieved have given up all hope of your religion, so fear them not, but fear Me. This day, I have perfected you religion for you, completed My Favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion.”
– Al – Ma’idah 5:3

Do you control your eyes? If so, then stop yourself from blinking. Do you control your heart? If so, then stop yourself from feeling. Do you control your brain? If so, then stop yourself from thinking.

Can’t do it, can you? If we’re not in control then who is?

Who else besides Al-Khaliq, The Creator — Allah (سبحانه وتعالى)

Reality Check … this dunya is not what it percieves to be, so next time we think we got things under control, we should think again, because more than likely we don’t.

There are many times throughout our daily activities that we do things without clarifying the intention to ourselves. We may buy a new car but end up doing it to raise our status in society or for pride. At the same time though, we may buy a car and do it solely for Allah’s cause, and in this there is good.

Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) says in the Qur’an:

“So whomsoever does good equal to the wieght of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it.”
– Surah Az-Zalzalah V.7

Abu Hurayrah, Abu Qatadah and Jabir Ibn Abdullah reported, Rasoolullah (صلي الله عليه وسلم) stated ” He who saw me in a dream in fact saw me, for Satan can not assume my form.” (Bukhari and Muslim)

The hadith clearly states that the Rasool of Allah (صلي الله عليه وسلم) can be seen in a dream, as Satan (may Allah’s curse be upon him) cannot take his form. However, some points which should be noted concerning its meaning are as follows:

To continue our series of ways to purify our salaah, a very important aspect is to take some time and to actually reflect and think about the ayaat being recited.

Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) says in the Qur’an:

(This is) a Book (the Qur’an) which We have sent down to you, full of blessings that they may ponder over its Verses, and that men of understanding may remember.”
– Surah Saad 38:29
